Our legacy stands proudly on the northern shore of Fowler Lake, Saskatchewan overlooking the tranquil waters full of memories and to be honest, pike, walleye and perch.  Dean grew up fishing on this lake with his dad, Reine Runzer and at 27 years of age made a decision to one day build here.  Committed to that dream, FireSong is now real.

Our real legacy however is our marriage.... messages of love and hope transcend the property.

 

The cabin itself was inspired by a beautiful woman who dreamed of a place to be still and to connect with those special to us.

 

From a place of beauty and gratitude, this cabin is ‘forged by fire’.

 

Every detail is done with intention.

 

Jake James Blacksmithing captured the essence of FireSong perfectly in his design and creation of the custom, hand forged railings throughout.  Industrious yet beautiful, handmade wrought iron with calla lilies and loon shaped footplates are a reflection of the work ethic and imagination of Dean and Lori Runzer.

 

A tribute to the legacy of Saskatchewan, Dean was able to acquire fir from one of the last standing grain elevators and had it custom made into the engineered hardwood flooring. 

Every detail surrounds you, but the view of the lake is the most beautiful. 

 

It only made sense to create an exquisite retreat where from the elaborate king size bed you see only the mist from the lake and hear only the Call of the Wild.  A personal 2 person jacuzzi with a 5 window turret to the lake, starlight and plenty of hot water for a soak or bubble bath is there just for you.  Wrap yourself in luxury and lounge your time away.

 

If a nap is perhaps in order mid afternoon, follow the deer tracks to the sunroom on the lower floor and enjoy the breeze blowing through and the three season experience.

 

This cabin is a perfect weekend escape, for your wedding night or an anniversary nothing says more than the gift of time.  Absolute inspiration happens when one sits at the studio quality recording piano, for those who join us to write and record music.  The sound of music drifting across the lake stops all who hear it and transcends all.

 

Your private deck is your private escape from the world with your glass of wine or a fine coffee. This is a moment in time where you can experience the magic of FireSong at the perfect pace - your own.
